# MrByzzPath Plugin: Installation Guide

MrByzzPath is ByzzPath's private business knowledge library. It is delivered as a plugin that connects to a remote MCP server and requires a valid license key.

This guide covers installation in two environments:

- **Claude** (including Claude Code)
- **OpenAI Codex**

**Note:** ChatGPT (the web app and the ChatGPT app) does not support this plugin with MCP access. To use MrByzzPath, install it in Claude or Codex.

## Installing the MrByzzPath Plugin in Claude

### Before you start

You need two things:

- A Claude account that supports plugins and custom connectors.
- A MrByzzPath license key. You buy it on the MrByzzPath page (see Step 5).

The plugin does not work without a license key. It connects to a remote MCP server, which checks your key before returning any content.

### Step 1: Download the plugin

1. Open https://byzzpath.com/mrb/ in your browser.
2. Click the download button for the MrByzzPath plugin.
3. Save the plugin file on your computer, for example in your Downloads folder.

### Step 2: Install the plugin in Claude

1. Open Claude and go to **Customize**.
2. Open the **Plugins** section.
3. Select **+ Add**, then **Upload plugin**.
4. Choose the MrByzzPath plugin file you downloaded in Step 1.
5. Confirm the installation. The plugin appears in your plugin list.

### Step 3: Connect to the MCP server from Claude

The plugin needs a connection to the MrByzzPath MCP server. Start the connection from Claude.

1. Open Claude and start a new chat.
2. Open the MrByzzPath plugin.
3. Select **Connect**. Claude opens the MrByzzPath page in your browser.
4. Complete the connection. You are redirected to the license key page (Step 4).

### Step 4: Enter your license key

After the connection in Step 3, you are redirected to the license key page.

1. Paste your license key into the field.
2. Select **Activate** (or **Submit**).
3. Wait for the confirmation. The plugin is now active.

Do not share your license key. Anyone with the key can use your access.

### Step 5: Buy a license key

You need a license key before Step 4. You can buy one in the shop.

1. Open https://byzzpath.com/mrb/ in your browser.
2. Select the option to go to the shop.
3. Choose your license and complete the purchase.
4. Your license key is shown after purchase and sent to your email. Keep it for Step 4.

### Step 6: Verify the setup

1. Start a new chat in Claude.
2. Ask: *Check my MrByzzPath account status.*
3. A confirmed active license means setup is complete.
4. Try a business question, for example: *How do I diagnose a bottleneck in my sales process?*

If Claude answers with references to ByzzPath material, the plugin works.

## Installing the MrByzzPath Plugin in Codex

MrByzzPath is ByzzPath's private business knowledge library, delivered as a plugin. The plugin connects to a remote MCP server and requires a valid license key.

### Before you start

You need two things:

- An OpenAI account with access to the Codex desktop app and plugins.
- A MrByzzPath license key. You can buy it on the [MrByzzPath website](https://byzzpath.com/mrb/) (see Step 5).

The plugin does not work without a license key. It connects to a remote MCP server, which checks your key before returning any private content.

### Step 1: Download the plugin

1. Open the [MrByzzPath website](https://byzzpath.com/mrb/) in your browser.
2. Click the download button for the MrByzzPath plugin for Codex.
3. Save the plugin file on your computer, for example in your Downloads folder.

### Step 2: Install the plugin in Codex

1. Open the Codex desktop app.
2. Go to **Plugins**.
3. Select **Add**, then choose the option to upload a plugin from a file.
4. Select the MrByzzPath plugin file you downloaded in Step 1.
5. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. MrByzzPath appears in your plugin list.

### Step 3: Connect to the MCP server from Codex

The plugin needs a connection to the MrByzzPath MCP server.

1. In **Plugins**, open **MrByzzPath**.
2. Select **Connect** and follow the authorization prompts.
3. Complete the connection in your browser.
4. When the MrByzzPath license key page appears, continue to Step 4.

### Step 4: Enter your license key

1. Paste your license key into the field on the MrByzzPath activation page.
2. Select **Activate** or **Submit**.
3. Wait for confirmation and complete any remaining authorization steps.
4. Return to Codex. The plugin is now ready to use.

Do not share your license key or paste it into a chat. Anyone with the key may be able to use your access.

### Step 5: Buy a license key

If you do not have a license key, complete this step before Step 4.

1. Open the [MrByzzPath website](https://byzzpath.com/mrb/) in your browser.
2. Select the option to go to the shop.
3. Choose your license and complete the purchase.
4. Your license key is shown after purchase and sent to your email. Keep it for Step 4.

### Step 6: Verify the setup

1. Start a new chat in Codex.
2. Type **@** and select **MrByzzPath**.
3. Ask: *Check my MrByzzPath account status.*
4. A confirmed active license means setup is complete.
5. Try a business question, for example: *Use MrByzzPath to help me diagnose a bottleneck in my sales process.*

If Codex retrieves content from the MrByzzPath library and answers with references to ByzzPath material, the plugin works.
